Mega Ran aka Random
megaran.com

If you put video games, the 80’s, hip-hop, soul music, jazz and standup comedy into a blender and hit “puree,” you’d have something close to "The Mega Ran Experience.” He's made waves by going way left of his backpack roots (aka Random) by combining 8-bit video game sounds and hard hitting hip-hop tracks. After creating a tribute album and receiving an unprecedented level of support and blessing from Capcom to continue, Ran was reborn. He became a trailblazer in the budding nerdcore hip-hop and chiptune subgenres, while coining his own term to describe what he had done, “Chip-Hop.”

Adam WarRock
adamwarrock.com

Call it nerdcore, geek music or whatever! Adam WarRock raps about comics, TV, movies, video games, the culture that he loves and makes it personal. Having gone from a humble website to a full-time music career, the list of credentials keeps growing. Adam's had his music appear on sites such as io9, WIRED, AV Club, Time, SPIN, and more. Twice an official SXSW showcase artist, main stage performer at Pax Prime - Seattle and having toured with some of the biggest acts around, he continues to turn the heads with his personal and well-crafted music.

Squincy Jones
awwready.com

Having played Aerosol Warfare parties, RockBox, Speakerboxx, Raise It Up, and Gritsy, Squincy Jones has become one of Houston's top selectors earning numerous accolades. Known for venturing outside the box, his widely celebrated "Nintendub" mix was also selected by FACT Magazine as one of the top 20 mixes for 2008. He'll be merging his DJ/producer skills with his love of video games to create an 8bit/dubstep/hiphop laced DJ performance infused with Nintendo loops to close out the night!

Broken Satellite & Ten Pixels Tall
lazybit.co

These 2 Houston based chiptune artists make music with Gameboys... and heart. Jeremy (Ten Pixels Tall & Matthew (Broken Satellite) are also the founders of Lazybit Collective a coalition of visual artists, chiptune musicians, podcasters and contributors. They'll providing some dope chiptune beats, bass and as well as some of their own arcades for the night!

FLCON FCKER
fuckmyfalcon.com

He is one of the newer additions to Houston's growing cadre of live electronic produces. With motion-reactive software, open-source controllers, hand-made synthesizers, and affection for low frequency oscillations, FLCON FCKER braves the gap between music and theater. Accelerometer equipped midi controllers enable motion based control of various elements of sound and percussion, as well. The result is an interesting experiment in live, performance-based electronica.
