We are testing the waters for some exciting new things coming! A video podcast is in the works
There was just no way around it. Saturday, July 2nd was going to be utterly destroyed. There was no chance. We. Killed. It.
We are only 2 weeks away from our amazing July 2nd show! With lots of great performances from Danimal Cannon, Bit Shifter, Dual Core, and so much more, we also have tons of prizes to give away! Like a ton! So much that I had to make a blog for it.
The kind people from Supergiant Games, you may know them from a couple of little games like Transistor, or Bastion, sent us some amazing good loot for you guys! To start, they gave us 2 signed Transistor Vinyl soundtracks! One from Ashley Barrett, the other from Darren Korb. We also have a signed 3D figure of Red herself! On top of that there are patches, handkerchiefs, and quite a few Steam codes for Transistor and Bastion too! Plenty of other surprises for attendees too!
iam8bit sent us some more vinyl, like an FTL soundtrack, Monument Valley, a nice Raz plush, and more! There are tons more from other people too, along with some merchandise from Brave Wave Productions, who will have the Street Fighter II soundtrack on hand! Really too much to even list, but I think it's worth noting that plenty of people will get some nice stuff just for coming out.
There will be plenty of indie games from Supergiant Games, Tiny Build, one that I am particularly excited about, Starr Mazer: DSP, and many more! We are excited about being able to bring out these games, and some of the people behind them to come out and not just participate, but enjoy the show!
I hope this is as exciting for you as it us for us. The support we are getting from developers and gaming companies is a huge push to keep us doing what we do. But we need people to keep coming out so we can keep doing these events. Houston is a great city with huge diversity, and we want them all here to celebrate what we love about games! Please tell your friends, share, spread the word!
Here is a list of web sites from games you can expect to play:
July 2nd @ Fitzgeralds

So we have stayed silent for a bit, but with good reason. We have been working hard on bringing the new RE:Play show to you. Bigger and better than last time. I won't really spend much time talking about it other than to tell you that you would be crazy to miss out on it! We have Bit Shifter and Danimal Cannon on the same stage! Not to mention Dual Core and our friends from Lazybit Collective! As usual, we will have games but this time we did something special, we are adding new games from indie devs and studios that are new and some that aren't even out yet! Starr Mazer: DSP, Radical Rebels, Party Hard and so much more! Of course we will have arcades back to play and the best part is the location! We will be in Houston at the historic and legendary Fitzgerald's! We will have downstairs for all the gaming needs and wants starting at 4 pm, then at 8-830, we move upstairs for the live show to cap the night off with some legendary artists!
I spent more time on that than I anticipated... Please go to our twitter @replayxpo and check out our FB/FB event page for more details. Pick up those advance tix to get 5 bucks off, and come in your best cosplay! We can't wait to see you there! We will have plenty of prizes and giveaways from Supergiant Games, Gearbox Software, and more!
Tell your mom, tell your dad, tell your friends, tell your friend's mom and dads!
Hope to see you guys soon!
It has been a while. There are things that are still happening, but for us to put on a good show, it definitely takes time. We do have a small show coming up with the help of our friends from Lazybit Collective and notsuoH's. Mega Ran will be in town with Toranavox, Ten Pixels Tall, and Broken Satellite. We are excited about this show because it will be a very cool and intimate setting that is just for fans! Please check out the events page for tickets.
This also provides us with a nice break, a refresh if you will, while we still get things together for the next RE:Play event. We are still working out the details, but expect the next one to be a lot bigger than our first one. We have built some good momentum and made some great friends that are willing to help us out! I can't wait to tell you guys about it.
Things could be progressing more quickly, but Crypt of the Necrodancer has really slowed things down over here. If you have played it, you know how addicting it is.
Please keep an eye out and don't forget to follow us on Twitter, FB, and IG for more up-to-date information!
Greetings to all my friends, nerds, geeks, gamers, and everyone in between. September 19th has come and gone and it flew by like nothing! It was a great night, with great performances, and ton of gaming. We had lots of cosplayers show up, that was amazing! We gave away a lot of prizes, and I still have some left over! And I met a ton of people. All of which were exceedingly nice to me! Thank you guys for making it a great night out!
As we draw close to the event, we have some very unfortunate news. Manami Matsumae has had to cancel due to unforesen circumstances regarding her visa that were out of her control. Details are available on the official Brave Wave website here.
While we are definitely saddened to lose Manami for this event, Brave Wave (Manami's Management) is still partnering with us to help make the night special for all who attend.
The show must go on and despite this setback we are still moving forward!
So it begins...
We have worked thru a lot of emails, phone calls, late nights spanning various time zones, with a healthy dose of loud music/caffeine/video games for good measure, to get where we are at now.
Now that everything is confirmed, we are excited to finally share the details of the very first RE:PLAY!
We carefully selected a varied lineup to represent what RE:Play is about, but isn't just about the music. This is a celebration of all things Video Games! We will have art, gaming themed drinks, cosplay, free-play arcades, signings and more on top of the live music. Everyone involved is there to celebrate what we love.
How do we begin? My friend/associate (Suraj) and myself (Cresendo) had spoken in depth for a while about the gaming and music culture that seemed to be blooming right in our own backyard. Suraj, having experience with plenty of other successful music ventures, suggested to me the idea of just starting it ourselves.
I jumped on it. Having just visited PAX South in San Antonio and seeing it first hand, how many people are here that want this, I couldn't say no. With his experience and my passion, we were certain we could create something. ...and we have.
